Homes for children .... Help for families |
|
|
Who We AreMaude Carpenter Children's Home began as an act of benevolence in 1943 by a congregation of the Church of Christ in downtown Wichita, Kansas. In the decades since, the ministry has evolved with the ever-changing needs of the children and their families. Several years ago our emphasis changed to provide homes for girls only. Our goals have expanded to provide them with extensive training and counseling to meet their needs after they leave our environment. Today our goal is to provide "homes for children .... help for families". We do not accept state or federal aid for our services, but depend on the generosity of individuals and churches in order to freely provide Christian-based training and education. Our campus is located at 1501 N Meridian in Wichita, Kansas. We invite you to visit our facilities at any time. To schedule a guided tour, please contact our office at 316-942-3221. |
